KYC Client Options

Required Options

1. Type of Service

-KYC only: check the identity of the customer. -KYC + AML: After checking the identity of customers, screen the risk of money laundering as well.

2. Type of submission

LiveForm: Provides ARGOS’s unique form that supports real-time photo shots based on web browsers. API: Image and identity information is transmitted from the client’s server to ARGOS KYC server using the Restful API method.

3. Address Collection

Additionally, collect address data of users.

4. Republic of Korea ID - Collecting RRN

For Korean IDs, there is an additional process for projects collecting the whole RRN(Resident Registration Number).

Case when not collecting the full RRN

  • Only the first 6 digits in the resident registration number will be collected and utilized.
  • The last 6 digits of the RRN, except for the first digit indicating the gender, will be masked automatically.
  • Verification of the authenticity of driver's license and resident registration card is not supported.

Case when collecting the full RRN

  • Collect and utilize all the resident registration numbers indicated on the submitter’s ID card.
  • ID cards not showing the full 13 digits of resident registration numbers will be rejected.
  • Confirm the authenticity of the driver's license and resident registration card at the same time.

Elective Options

5. Duplicated Submission Prevention Period

You might consider using this option when users have to get approved KYC only once while experiencing your service. For one project, based on Email address data, users with approved history can not resubmit KYC for a set period. *If there is no request, the default value is 7 days

6. AI Support Only

ARGOS's OCR AI recognizes over 1,800 IDs globally. The 'AI Support Only' option will only accept the 1,800 IDs. When tried with the other IDs, users will be asked to retry with another ID. If this option is turned on, OCR AI performance and auto processing rate will rise. *If there is no request, it will not be turned on.

7. Webhook notification

If you want a webhook notification of KYC pending/approval/rejection/AML results, please forward the webhook URL to Helpdesk. *If there is no request, the webhook URL will not be registered.

8. Email notification

Send e-mail notification of receipt, approval, and rejection to the KYC submitter. If you want to designate an e-mail template separately, fill out each e-mail for receipt, approval, and rejection in HTML code and forward it to the Helpdesk. Please refer to the Email notification guide for more information. *If there is no separate request, an email notification will be sent.

9. Age Limit

Limit the age to approve KYC. If there is no request, the default value is 13 years old. Submissions under the set age will be rejected. The minimum age is 13 years old. *If there is no request, the default value is 13 years old.

10. Blacklist country (Issuing Country)

Set up a list of issuing countries that will not approve KYC. (*Not nationality.) When using Liveform, submitters cannot select the listed countries. And when submitted through API, it will be auto rejected. *If there is no request, the default list will be FATF's high-risk and monitored countries.

11. Acceptable ID type

  • Passport: Domestic passports included
  • Driver's license
  • Government-issued ID card
If an unselected ID is submitted, it will be rejected. *If there is no request, all three ID types are acceptable.

12. Receiving BCC email

You can receive the same reception, approval, and rejection emails delivered to KYC submitters as a “hidden reference” email. Forward the email address that you want to receive to Helpdesk. *If there is no request, BCC emails will not be sent.

13. Email verification

When submitting KYC, send a code to the submitter's email to verify email address. *If there is no request, email authentication will not proceed.

14. Liveform default language

Types of languages supported: Chinese (cn), English (en), Spanish (es), Japanese (jp), Korean (kr), Portuguese (pt), Vietnamese (vn), Russian (ru)
Set default language by adding a 'lang' parameter to the URL. A parameter must be one of the following criteria: "cn","en","es","jp","ko","pt","vn", "ru".
*If a default language is not set in the Liveform URL, device language for mobile, and browser language for PC will be displayed.
An image can be inserted into Liveform submission page. The applicable image files are jpeg, jpg, or png. *If there is no request, no logo will be exposed.

16. Inserting Privacy Policy and Terms of Use URL

You can link your Terms of Use page URL and Privacy Policy page URL to the submission start page, respectively. Up to two URLs of Terms of Use can be linked. *If there is no request, the 'Terms of Use' URL is not connected.

17. Redirection button

Set a page to connect to the button that appears when KYC submission is completed. *If there is no separate request, the button will not be generated.

18. AML Threshold value

A number that determines how similar information will be filtered out during AML screening. For more information, refer to the AML Screening Threshold Guide. *Default AML Threshold value is 93.
